EZ-PnF point and figure software versions 2.31R/U are now completed and available. 

EZ-PnF version 2.31U is the SHAREWARE version* of EZ-PnF and is  downloadable from the BCA Software web site.

EZ-PnF version 2.31R, the REGISTERED version is only available through BCA Software.

*Note: some features are available in REGISTERED Version ONLY!

What's new in EZ-PnF V2.31?

1) The built-in support for FastTrack database has been updated to read
FastTrack's new formats.

2)  Support for directly reading the Free historic price data, that you can 
download, from MSN and Yahoo!Finance has been updated to account for their
recent format changes. (REGISTERED Version ONLY! )

3) The EZ-PnF Screen Print-Driver has been enhanced to allow for printing charts
on DOS compatible printers attached to LPT1: when using WindowsXP.
(This should also work for Windows NT and Windows 2000, but it has not been tested in those environments)

4) The 'Print Chart' key combination has been changed to Alt-P.

5) EZ-PnF now automatically creates a Windows Bitmap of the EZ-PnF chart, 
whenever Alt-P is pressed.  This allows users who cannot currently print 
charts, because their printer is not fully DOS compatible or it is not connected 
to LPT1:, to print charts.

This enhancement allows ALL Windows users to view/edit/print the automatically created bitmaps using any Windows program that accepts Windows Bitmaps on printers supported by Windows.

The Bitmap Usage procedure is:
  1) Create the Bitmmaps in Ez-PnF by pressing Alt-P.
  2) Press Alt-Esc to go to the Windows Desktop.
  3) Use Windows Explorer to go to the \ezpnf folder. Locate 'symbol'.BMP.
  4a) Click on the Icon for each bitmap to active the program associated with bitmaps
     This may be Paint or Picture Editor.
  4b) You can also open any program that supports bitmaps to copy/paste the bitmaps into the program eg Word, PowerPoint, WordPad, excel, etc.
  5) Use the Windows program to view/edit/print/copy/etc. the bitmaps.
  6) When done, Click on the EZ-PnF entry in the Task Bar to return to EZ-PnF.

Note: The Printer Options in EZ-PnF have changed. See SETTINGS>Set Bitmap/Printer Type for info. Remember to 'save' settings if you change them.

6) The user may now select the 'Scale Factor' used in creating Relative
Strength charts. This is in addition to the AutoScaling that is in EZ-PnF.

7) The number of lines to skip in an ASCII/Text file has been increased to
999 in the EZ-PnF ASCII Wizard.

8) A new field layout pattern is added to the EZ-PnF ASCII/Text Wizard.
The pattern is: DATE,?,CLOSE,HIGH,LOW[,skip rest of line]  (?=Skip field)

9) Some of the EZ-PnF menu bar option names have been changed for ease of use.
Many of the info and help screens have been updated for the new Bitmap support.

IMPORTANT:  Windows XP Users: when returning from a p&f chart (ESC), a WindowsXP bug causes EZ-PnF to return in 'full screen' mode.  To view EZ-PnF dialog in a desktop window, hold down the Alt key and press the ENTER key (Alt-ENTER).

IMPORTANT: After installation is verified, please discard any copies of EZ-PnF V2.30R or the V2.30U SHAREWARE version, they are no longer supportted by BCA Software.
